SGA executive slate elections calendar begins

<p>Ball State's student body elected the Student Government Association slate OPTiC to be the next SGA executive board for 2017-18 on Feb. 28. The Student Government Association executive slate election process began Friday.

Starting Friday afternoon, packets with information and applications to run as an SGA executive slate were available online.

From here, events for candidates to interact with and campaign to the student body begin in February:

Nomination Convention

When: Feb. 12 at 8 p.m.
Where: Art and Journalism Building room 175

Open campaigning

When: Begins after the close of the Nomination Convention

Presidential and Vice Presidential Debate

When: Feb. 15 at 8 p.m.
Where: Art and Journalism building room 175

All Slate Debate

When: Feb. 18 at 8 p.m.
Where: L.A. Pittenger Student Center in Cardinal halls A, B and C

Presidential Town Hall Debate

When: Feb. 21 at 8 p.m.
Where: Art and Journalism Building room 175

Voting Begins

When: Feb. 26 at 8 a.m.
Where: Online, link sent in campus-wide email

Winners announced

When: Feb. 27 after 5 p.m.
Where: L.A. Pittenger Student Center, Office of Student Life
