Two arrested at Muncie McDonald's for possession of meth

Muncie Police were called to the McDonald’s in the 3300 block of N. Chadam Lane at 4:31 a.m. Wednesday after a report of subjects smoking out a glass pipe in the drive thru.

Upon arriving at the McDonald’s, an officer located Stephen Drinkard, 32, Muncie, and Hannah Wilson, 20, Muncie, in a vehicle when they obtained consent to search the car.

The officer located a small plastic bag containing four grams of meth, a scale and a glass smoking pipe.

Drinkard told officers while at the Delaware County Jail that he and several others get meth delivered from Ohio to Muncie weekly.

The Muncie Police Narcotics Unit said it looks into all possibilities, and the drugs come from multiple people in Ohio. It also noted that some people only have drugs delivered from Ohio for personal use.

Two weeks ago, the narcotics unit was also investigating tips about a "bad batch" of heroin it believed was coming from the Dayton, Ohio, area.
