At 4:55 p.m. on Tuesday, Delaware County Emergency Management Agency issued a boil order, due to a water main break, for businesses and residents on Madison Street and Memorial Drive to 21st Street.

According to the notification, 15 food establishments were affected.

The notification says residents should boil any water prior to consumption until further notice.

In Nov. 14 2016, a boil water was issued for the entire city of Muncie, including Ball State. The order was in effect for 24 hours due to turbidity, or cloudiness, in the water.
