Gas prices have risen nearly 10 cents in the past week in Indiana.
According to Gas Buddy, an app that allows users to compare gas prices in their area, prices in Indiana reached $2.32 per gallon, which is 8.2 cents higher than the average last week.
Indiana's average is 7 cents cheaper than the national average, which has risen 9 cents in the last week.
"Prices have seen little change and as we continue to progress into the summer, we're seeing gas prices now roughly the same as a year ago in many places," said Patrick DeHaan, senior petroleum analyst for GasBuddy.com.
DeHaan said that because of OPEC's production cuts and U.S. oil production reaching its highest levels since summer 2015, oil markets failed to be convinced.
"This has kept the price of oil constrained and keeps the door propped open for gasoline prices to remain at historically low levels as millions of Americans take to the road," DeHaan said.
The same day in 2016, gas prices in Indiana were 19.7 cents per gallon lower.
On June 5, 2012, the average price in Indiana for a price of gas was $3.54.
