It took a late effort for Ball State to rally past Sacred Heart on Jan. 29.

More than a month later, things haven't changed between the two teams.

With sophomores Greg Herceg and Dan Wichmann leading the way, Ball State slipped past Sacred Heart 23-25, 25-13, 20-25, 25-14, 16-14 at Worthen Arena on Sunday.

Herceg tallied 12 kills to lead the Cardinals, while Anders Nelson and Larry Wrather each had eight.

Wichmann, in his fourth career start, had 39 assists on the night to along with three kills and three digs.

Ball State travels to Columbus, Ohio, on Friday to take on No. 5 Ohio State for the second time this season before playing Princeton on Saturday.
