MEN'S GOLF: Ball State looks for repeat title in own Cardinal Collegiate tournament

Ball State's team won't be the only one looking for a repeat in the event. Last season, as an individual, junior Anthony Novak earned medalist honors in the Cardinal Collegiate, carding a 144. Fellow junior Eric Steger counted as the best Ball State team finisher in the tournament, finishing in third place with a 146.

GYMNASTICS: Cardinals head to MAC Championships looking to prove themselves

The Ball State University gymnastics team will find out what it is capable of when it travels to Bowling Green, Ohio, at 2 p.m. Saturday to compete in the MAC Championships. The seven MAC schools with gymnastics programs will come together to vie for the championship. Although Ball State has not competed with more than four teams in a meet this season, the team is trying to remain focused on its performance.

MEN'S TENNIS: Pavia garners weekly MAC award

Pavia has also excelled as the Cardinals' No. 1 singles player; he defeated Butler University's Ben Raynauld in a barnburner, 6-7 (5), 6-4 (14-12), Saturday at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center. In all this season, Pavia is 11-2 at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles.

SOFTBALL: Ball State sweeps doubleheader on road at Dayton

The Ball State University softball team kept on rolling Wednesday evening, taking care of business with a doubleheader sweep at the University of Dayton. With the win, the Cardinals improve to 19-6 and have now won 17 of their last 19 games.

The Cardinals' first game of the day against Eastern Michigan was canceled due to snowy weather conditions. Ball State and Northern Colorado, however, were able to play their game indoors within Devine Pavilion.

WOMEN'S GOLF: Cardinals head to Georgia for tournament

Ball State coach Katherine Mowat said that simply getting an invite to the tournament in Stockbridge, Ga., was an honor. Host Georgia State University, Arkansas State University, University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Xavier University are among the teams that will be competing in the tournament.
