SOCCER: Team looks to improve on runner-up finish last season

Last weekend, Ball State clinched a spot in the Mid-American Conference tournament and now have one more regular season match before the tournament starts on Nov. 2. This is the fourth consecutive season that coach Craig Roberts’ squad has made it to the tournament and last year's team had the best finish in school history, making it all the way to the MAC championship match.

SOCCER: Ball State returns to form at Navy Tournament

Navy Tournament was a huge test for Ball State this weekend, as it was a step up in competition for the Cardinals, gave them a view of what the Mid-American Conference Championship would be like, and let them see if the two weeks of fine tuning the players had paid off.

SOCCER: Ball State, Navy play to draw

Freshman goalkeeper Alyssa Heintschel came into a game for her first time this season with the big task of stopping Navy, a team that beat a Top 25 team earlier this year, from scoring a goal.
