How Remote Learning Affects Students

Since the global pandemic of 2019, the way we learn has changed a lot. Remote learning has become more common and, in some places, could be here to stay. Advantages of remote learning include providing more free time, personalization, and giving access to a wider range of studying opportunities for students. Despite the advantages, however, some feel that remote learning can have a negative impact on students.

On their final day in Los Angeles, student journalists Amber Pietz and Daniel Kehn explored the UCLA campus and the surrounding area in search of postcard worthy photographs. Their goal was to accurately convert their experience while on the West Coast.

SPORTS PHOTOGRAPHY

A journal from a photojournalist: My first year

The more I shot sports, the more I seemed to find myself. When I came to college I felt lost. Not because I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life, but because I didn’t really know who I was anymore. I lost myself in high school and being at the Daily News helped me find my place and my people.
