May 28, Ball State University held the First Annual Bluesfest at Worthen Arena, as the Office of Inclusive Excellence partnered with C+B Entertainment in an attempt to create a more inclusive environment at Ball State and in the Muncie Community.

The Village wasn’t always as lively as it is now. After the 2008 recession, many buildings sat vacant while landlords tried to find buyers. While some businesses, including Village Green Records and White Rabbit Used Books, survived 2008, the recession coinciding with the COVID-19 pandemic saw some businesses move out of the Village and others move in. While renovations are now underway at Ball State University’s Cooper Science Building, there are years of planning and preparation behind it. The west end of Cooper Science is projected to be done by Spring 2023, and construction for the east end will take effect immediately — expected to be completed by Spring 2024.
