MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- After two days of nearly constant rain, we are getting a short break from the precipitation. Today is going to be dry but chilly with the high only reaching 50 with wind gusts pushing 25 mph. Friday should be clear and beautiful with temperatures reaching the mid 50s. Halloween is going to be a wet day with a 50% chance of rain and wind expected near 20 mph throughout the duration of the football game, and during trick or treating hours as well. On Sunday we turn back the clocks at 2 AM but turn up the temperature with some early morning rain likely to clear out to a sunny afternoon with a high of 62. To begin the work week, temperatures will be above average in the mid-to-upper 60s for Monday and Tuesday. Our next chance of rain does not get here until later in the day on Wednesday with a high of 69.

We will finally be experiencing the remnants of Hurricane Patricia during today and tomorrow with rain showers and windy conditions. Today we will have a high of 56 and a low of 48. Throughout the day we will have light to moderate rain and expect heavier rain tonight. Winds will be from the Southeast around 10-15 mph. There could be wind gust up to 28 mph. Windy conditions and scattered showers for tomorrow with a high of 60 and a low of 42. We will finally see some sun with partly cloudy skies on Thursday and Friday. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- Rain seems to be the theme of this week's forecast. We do see this rain coming from the south as a result of Hurricane Patricia. Expect tonight's low to reach the low 40s and tomorrow's high should be in the high 50s. Rain chances do come in the forecast tomorrow morning and will continue to stay through Wednesday as well. Mostly cloudy skies on Thursday and sunny skies to start out the weekend on Friday. Rain chances continue for Halloween on Saturday and will stay throughout the beginning of next week. Muncie, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- Happy Monday everyone! Today we will see mostly sunny skies here in East-Central Indiana with our highs to reach 62° this afternoon. Tonight our lows will dip down to 44° with our cloud cover increasing through the overnight. Our winds will be coming in from the East at 10 mph. Tomorrow our rain chances return with our highs to reach 56° and our overnight lows to get back down to 52°. Wednesday those rain chances hold on to us a little while longer as we are expected to receive as much as 1 to 2 inches of precipitation by Wednesday night with our highs to make their way to 62°. Thursday through Friday mostly sunny skies are back in your forecast but our highs only rebound into the lower to mid 50's. By Saturday our rain chances will come back with our highs to climb to 57°. For your Sunday we will roll our clocks back an hour with our highs to reach back into the lower 60's coming in at 61° but our rain chances will still be around through most of the day.
MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- Overall, it has been an above average week in terms of temperatures around Muncie. But that is going to change here this weekend, and just in time for Family Weekend here at Ball State as well. Showers will begin to move in late tonight into the early morning hours of Saturday. That rain will stick around in the Muncie area throughout the duration of Saturday with a high of 73. Ball State also has a football game tomorrow with a 3 PM kickoff against the Central Michigan Chippewas at Scheumann Stadium. The kickoff temperature will be at 69 with clouds, showers, and winds from the southwest at 15-20 mph. The rain associated with the cold front will move out of the area Sunday late morning with skies clearing out later in the day, a high of 62. To begin the work week, sunny conditions for Monday and Tuesday with highs in the lower 60s both days. But as we get into the middle of the week, rain will once again come back on Wednesday night and will stick around for Thursday as well. Highs for Wednesday and Thursday will be in the lower 60s. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- This past week we have seen above average temperatures with highs making it into the lower 70s. However, that will change as we see an area of low pressure slowly make its way east into the Muncie area Friday night. The high for Friday and Saturday will continue to stay in the lower 70s, but along that is the chance for rain showers throughout most of Saturday and even the possibility of a few thunder storms. Behind the system is cooler temperatures that will enter the region on Sunday with a high of only 61 degrees, but the skies will have cleared for the most part giving you a mostly sunny end to the weekend. Monday we will continue to see clear skies with a high around 62 degrees. The skies on Tuesday will begin to cloud up as another front will make its way into our area from the northern plains. There will be a chance for rain on Tuesday night, but is likely for Wednesday when we could see anywhere from half an inch to 1 inch of rain fall between Tuesday night and the end of the rain on Wednesday and highs will be in the lower 60s. Wednesday evening the rain should move out of the area and we will see partly sunny skies on Thursday with only a high around 55 degrees. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- This weekend is Family Weekend at Ball State University and that means there will be many parents, grandparents, students, and family members in town as the Cardinals take on the Chippewas from Central Michigan. The weather will be warm for the game on Saturday, with a high near 70, however, we will have to dodge multiple rounds of rain. Bringing the rain jackets out to Scheumann Stadium is highly advised as periods of rain showers, and maybe a rumble of thunder, are expected throughout the entire game period. Additionally, winds will be gusty, from the southwest in the 15-20 mph range, with gusts over 20 mph. Temps will then take a plunge, back toward the 40s, as we head into the overnight Saturday. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) It has been a very mild yet beautiful fall day across Ball State campus. We saw highs today reach in the lower 70s and that is about 8 degrees warmer than where we should be this time of year. Friday will bring us almost the same conditions in what we saw today however clouds will start to build in late Friday night ahead of a cold front that is set to arrive for the weekend. Rain chances will be likely through the area most of the day on Saturday starting in the early morning hours and continuing throughout the day. Highs will again reach in the lower 70s. Sunday will be a different story as that cold front has passed, we will be seeing cooler yet sunny for Sunday, with temperatures in the lower 60s. As we look into next week we will be seeing another system come down Tuesday night into Wednesday all day bringing a plentiful amount of rain. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- It is going to be another sunny and mild day around here in Muncie, but things will be changing very soon. Once Saturday and family weekend comes around, temperatures will begin to slowly drop as a cold front will be making its way into our area. For Family Weekend, scattered rain will occur early Saturday morning and will continue through the afternoon. Rain will be moving out of the area during the Ball State football game vs. Central Michigan so it will not be around for the entire game. After the game, once the cold front does move through, temperatures will decrease rapidly and clearer skies will move in. Sunday will have clear skies with a high of 60, which is a bit cooler than average. For the beginning of the work/school week, temperatures will be back to around average in the lower-to-mid 60s for Monday and Tuesday. Then the rain will return on Wednesday with a high of 60.
Temperatures are a bit warmer today and are expected to rise into the mid 70s, and stay in the low 70s for the rest of the week. The weekend will be a little chilly, so be sure to bring a jacket to parents weekend activities and the football game. There's a few low chances of precipitation tomorrow, and Saturday morning. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- A warming trend will continue on Wednesday, as east central Indiana will be warming up into the lower to mid 70s for many locations. The down side to this warmer weather being that we will have to dodge a few small rain chances to come along with it. A small chance for a rain shower does exist on Wednesday, while we will be under partly cloudy skies. The winds will again be breezy, in the 10 to 20 mph range, still blowing from the southwest keeping our temps rather mild for this time of the year. The rain chances will increase on Thursday, with a 20% chance of seeing a shower or rumble of thunder. Temps will then cool slightly on Friday, but rise back into the 70s by Saturday just in time for Family Weekend at Ball State. The down side to this warm air is that it will bring in a much better chance for rain showers and maybe a thunderstorm. The system that brings the rain will also bring an end to our warm weather, dropping our high temperatures significantly for Sunday, where we only reach 59. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) - It's going to be a beautiful Tuesday with clear skies and a high around 70. It will be a little breezy with winds from around 13-15 mph. Expect wind gust up to 20 mph. As a weak cold front moves in tonight skies will become partly cloudy and temperatures in the mid 40s. The warmer temperatures will remain for Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the 70s, but don't rule out any chances of rain. Another cold front will be moving in this weekend bringing rain for Saturday. Temperatures will be cooler for the end of the weekend and into next week. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) After a cold weekend, it was a welcome relief in terms of temperatures today. The high today in Muncie reached 64 degrees. Sunny skies and even warmer temperatures are returning for the day Tuesday. Expect a cool and breezy start to the day with morning lows around 46 degrees then warming up to 70 degrees. Clear and sunny skies will stick around not only for Tuesday, but Wednesday also. Highs will be around 72 degrees Wednesday. Thursday will be a little cooler with temperatures around 68 degrees and partly cloudy skies. The next likely chance of rain returns on Saturday. Our winds will be coming in from the SSW at 15 to 20 mph and could occasionally gust over 25 mph. Overnight our lows will dip down to a mild 47° with our winds coming in from the SSW at 10-15 mph. Tomorrow our warming trend continues with our highs to climb to 70° with mostly sunny skies in your forecast once again. By mid-week our highs rise into the lower 70's before dipping back down into the upper to middle 60's by the end of your work week. Saturday presents our next chance for scattered rain showers with our highs dipping down into the upper 50's by Sunday.
