What a pleasant Friday afternoon it is! The temperature for today has already matched the record high temperature set back in 1971 of 72 degrees. We are expecting to exceed that record temperature by about one or two degrees. The warmth is not going to stick around as a cold front is expected to pass through our region tonight and into tomorrow as our high temperatures for the next two days are not expected to exceed 42 degrees. Low temperatures are also expected to drop into the 20s and 30s, so make sure to send out your kids to the bus stop with a jacket. Snow chances are expected for tomorrow, but accumulation is not likely. Make sure to give us a follow on Twitter @NLIWeather!

MUNCIE, IN (Cardinal Weather) -- A beautiful start to the morning here in East Central Indiana. Temperatures all across the State of Indiana are around 60 degrees as of 10:30 am. Today, we are on our way to high of 71 degrees with clear and sunny skies. A strong low pressure associated with a cold front is beginning to approach the area this evening. Therefore, tonight, do not rule out the chance of a few rain showers early in the evening. However, by late evening expect thunderstorms and the possibility of gusty winds as the front passes through. Saturday will remain mostly clear by afternoon hours. Temperatures across East Central Indiana will drop dramatically during the weekend. Highs Saturdays will only in the lower 40s and lows in the upper 20s. Wind chills could be a factor in the morning hours of Sunday. Early next week temperatures will begin to climb back to near average temperatures.

Good Thursday evening! Well above average temperatures have returned to central Indiana yet again the past several day. This Thursday we hit a high of 71 degrees, which is over 20 degrees warmer for our average this time of year! Friday will bring more warm weather, with a high of 71 degrees. We'll see an increase in cloud coverage throughout the day, along with increasing winds. Saturday will bring a massive drop in temperature, with a high of only 42 degrees for the daily high. In addition, Friday night heading into Saturday morning could bring some rain showers or possibly some snow flurries depending on how cold it gets. If snow does fall, it will be a light dusting that will melt due to the surface still being warmer than the freezing point. Make sure to give us a follow on Twitter @NLIWeather!

Quick: think of a transgender video game character. You'll probably be pondering that for a while, because in gaming, trans characters are few and far between.
When there is representation - trans characters are reduced down to being "trap" jokes or are wrongly interpreted as being trans. Their creators didn't mean for them to be anything but "quirky."
When creators consciously create a transgender character, as seen when Amber Scott wrote Baldur's Gate: Siege of Drangonspear, included a four line dialogue with a blink-and-you'll miss them transwoman, things get complicated. People riot online, complain about SJWs, and make violent videos.
Anime invented the trans trap joke, but has a more prolific history of telling stories about transgender characters and handling them fairly well. Comics try to, and sometimes fail to properly represent the people they're writing about.
This week is Transgender Awareness Week, and November 20th is Transgender Day of Remembrance. Take an opportunity to give this podcast a listen and reflect on how our favorite nerdy media represents trans folk.

Good Wednesday Evening! High pressure continues to dominate our area and will continue to be that way into Thursday. Temperatures Thursday will likely be 20 degrees above normal as we expect highs around 70 degrees with sunny conditions. All eyes turn to Friday afternoon through Saturday as an unsettled pattern works in giving us thunderstorms Friday, and then changing to some flurries Saturday morning. Temperatures take a dive into the weekend as we will be seeing highs only reach about 45 degrees. Sunday looks to be like a very cool day with the temperatures only climbing to 40 degrees. Our next best chances of rain after this weekend come in for the middle part of your work week next week as another low pressure system comes in Tuesday afternoon into the afternoon hours of Wednesday. Expect warming temperatures into the weekend but major changes coming. A high of 68 degrees will be forecast for Friday, however, a strong low pressure and cold front will move across the region. Muncie, IN (NewsLink Indiana) --Hopefully everyone enjoyed the sunshine today, but if you didn't there is plenty more to come in the next few days. High temperatures for this time of year normally hover around the low to mid 50s, and at least for a few days in the forecast, we will see that. Tomorrow high pressure is going to stick around, we will see sunny skies and a high temperature near 63 degrees. Early morning on Friday though we are going to see a cold front move through, and as it does, that is going to bring cooler temperatures and a few more clouds, but still plenty of sunshine. Saturday and Sunday high temperatures will be possibly the coolest of the year so far, but we will still have clear and sunny skies. Overnight for both of those nights it is anticipated we will see widespread frost throughout the area, so on the off-chance there is still some people who have plants outside, need to have the covered or bring them inside to prevent damage. Temperatures are going to begin to climb slightly into early next week, with a slight chance for rain during the overnight hours. Temperatures are going to work their way up into the upper 50s.
