In the first round of the Mid-American Conference Tournament, Ball State men’s tennis (14-11, 3-5 MAC) was unable to pick up a win against the No. 1 seed Western Michigan Broncos. The Cardinals lost 4-0.

Ball State men’s tennis (13-9) traveled to South Bend to face No. 28 Notre Dame Sunday. The Cardinals failed to win a match as the Fighting Irish won 7-0. Ball State struggled against Notre Dame's high level of play indoors.

On the road again for its last non-conference match, Ball State men’s tennis (13-8) will square off against No. 28 Notre Dame. Since the victory over IUPUI, freshman Bryce Bonin said he has focused on his forehand, conditioning and resting for this match.

After 39 seasons of coaching Ball State men’s swimming, Bob Thomas announced his retirement. In a press release, Thomas said he’s looking toward his next chapter.

Ball State men’s tennis (12-8) has played 18 matches this season, and only two have been outside. That was not the case at this time a season ago. Junior Nemanja Guzina said he remembers being outside on Easter last year.

No miracle. No major upset. Ball State men’s tennis (12-8, 2-3 MAC) traveled to Kalamazoo, Michigan, and couldn’t upset the Mid-American Conference preseason favorite Western Michigan Broncos. The Cardinals lost the match, 0-7. Head coach Bill Richards said the Cardinals played okay.

In the previous Mid-American Conference matches, Ball State men’s tennis (12-7, 2-2 MAC) won the doubles point. The Cardinals know their upcoming match will be tough, and the doubles point is crucial again.
