Cool wave then incoming storms

Forecaster Ian Kowalski has an update on the cool weekend after our warm St. Patrick's day, as well as potential for storms late next week.

A promising postseason

“We made a goal all summer and all fall and then throughout the season to stay focused on winning the sectional, it was a great accomplishment,” said Matt Luce, the Wapahani head coach. “Then to win Saturday night against Carroll (Flora) was great and kind of a history-making thing for our school.”

Repaving Muncie’s streets

“It’s been a couple years in the works,” Owens said. “We actually were able to bump our timeline ahead a few years. We’re hoping that by 2025 we’ll be able to repave those roads.”

New Ball State project aims to help homeless

The project, which was broken up into two semesters, was built into a pre-existing course that is part of Ball State’s Sustainability minor. Students in the summer class designed the tiny houses, and students in the fall designed the site and the community building.

The food giver

“Food is like the love language of the world. No matter what culture or language you speak you can still come together and enjoy one common thing, food. I want to give as much as I can away because I know I can make a lot of smiles happen.”

Ball State’s Christy Woods

John Taylor says, “the property and greenhouses are used for students and education, but what’s also exciting is that Christy Woods is open to the public as well.”

Ball State’s Cardinal Kitchen

“I love getting to talk to our clients and see what they want and need and then shape our pantry over that,” Malchow explains. “It’s been fun to expand and make sure everyone gets what they need.”

Roller coaster week

Assistant Chief Weather Forecaster Oliver Moster is expecting above average temperatures, but another storm system on the way.

New art exhibition

“These are real treasures that were hidden away right here in Muncie for decades,” La France said. “We’re excited to bring those out of the closet and put them on display for everyone to see.”

Warmer days and rain

Weather Forecaster Ian Kowalski discusses our warm start to March, and the multiple chances of rain throughout the week.
