Ball State University's resident halls host annual Fall Fest

MUNCIE, Ind. – While the leaves around campus begin to change, the air becomes crisper, and sweaters begin making an appearance, Noyer Residence Hall celebrates the changing season. With students filling the room, the festival was a festive way to get ready for the upcoming holiday.

With games like air hockey, foosball, and ring tossing, the competitive spirit sent a buzzing atmosphere throughout the air. Accompanied by face painting, poke-a-pumpkin, a photo booth and rock painting, there was something for every Cardinal to enjoy.

“It’s just fun, it’s a good way to get involved in your communities,” said resident assistant Claire Seal. This is Seal’s second year committing to the event, and is the head of the lighting committee. In charge of the costumes and room decorations, she was excited to make everything “Halloween-y.”

While one side of the Noyer complex was warm and cozy with a Charlie Brown theme, the other side was decorated spookily. In honor of Halloween, the bottom of an entire dorm hall was covered with medical equipment, creepy doctors, and blood bags.

“Basically, the entire staff of the blood bank are vampires,” Seal added, “They basically are just trying to suck your blood.” In a blood-curdling chase, students are taken through a blood bank by a doctor, while jump scares and vampire victims line the halls.

Whether you’re into the thriller side of Halloween or the beautiful colors of fall, the Fall Fest was the perfect way to get Cardinals geared up for the fearful holiday.
