The progress that we’ve made.
You see then sun and think
“Yes, this is a wonderful day.”
Then hold fast to the love you have
And honor their embrace,
For all the world’s winters can’t
Send your heart into stony silence.
So many now have electricity,
The plasma of life’s emotions
That sends your sights beyond
Yourself.
So just stop.
They are listening to its beat;
They are counting on you. On me.
Keep on going and don’t pull that line.
Because should the train derail
They don’t know
