MUNCIE, Ind - As the semester closes out on the fall 2025 school semester, new things are to come. With one week left until Thanksgiving break and winter break following that soon after, many students are reminiscing about this year.
For many, the standout moments are from classes. It’s where many students made new friends and learned new things. For sophomore Tim Popovitz, class is the place to see friends.
“I have my exercise 147 class. I have it with some of my friends. I always make it definitely interesting. Definitely interesting. And more enjoyable too. They're just like, I mean, sometimes we just end up messing around. You're just sitting there learning and you just don't want to pay attention. But I guess having them there, there's always something happening and they're always saying something stupid.”
Some memories were made at the very start on move-in day. “Me and my roommate tried to bunk our beds, but they said we needed about three or four people and we did it with just the two of us. It was a really long night, but it was worth it. How long do you think it took? Like 3 hours. Two or 3 hours? Well, just faster than I was expecting for just having two of us for sure.” said freshman roommates and best friends Raegan Webr and Allison Liffick.
It’s important to recognize all the good moments amidst the stress of college. For Liffick her challenger for next semester is “Not to have a crash out semester? Yeah, I guarantee you that's not going to happen.”
As we enter the Spring 2026 semester, let's remind ourselves that all of our good memories come from our friends, community and our academic efforts.
“Ball State definitely wasn't a choice that I was ecstatic about choosing. But after finding my community here, I've really enjoyed it and I would vouch for both say, and that community any day of the week now so for sure.” said freshman Peyton Baker.
So let's head into next semester enjoying every moment and memory together.
