MUNCIE, Ind. — If you have ever taken a peek at a marketing mixer or walked down one of their runways, you may have heard of the company Growing Remarkable Opportunities with Women (GROW).
GROW was founded in 2023 by Brittany Scott. The business was created by Scott in hopes of building a space that challenges the status quo around how women build careers, and gives women a networking community she wishes she could have had.
“Grow is super collaborative by nature, we are very welcoming of anybody doing anything, whether they’re building a career or they own a company, we want them to get involved and connect with each other to get resources and access to people and connections they need,” Scott explained.
GROW is something that has always meant a lot to Brittany, and that passion is what inspired the co-founder, Jill Trimmel into becoming a mentor for Brittany.
Trimmel started mentoring to further push GROW’s overall mission of supporting women and their businesses, as well as their endeavors in the workforce.
“Brittany’s initiative and the pillars of education she gives to women, financial acumen, negotiation, leadership, and emotional health, is something I felt would be an interstate if you will, to closing the gender pay gap,” said Trimmel, “which is what I would like to do before I die.”
While GROW continues to expand its reach throughout southern Indiana, they have goals of reaching women nationwide, to help them get a head start on their own businesses.
“Some have plans of being a big global business, and I think GROW has that real chance to become a major powerhouse in women's business, and I'm excited to see where they go with it,” stated Mike Martin, who was a model on the runway that night.
This company has not only helped Scott achieve her dreams of starting a company for women, but it has also helped out many women in the community.
