MUNCIE, Ind. — This past weekend, Ball State Baseball faced off against Butler University in a day that featured more than just a game. On the field, the Cards were able to snag a 13-9 win on a day that was filled with excitement and joy.

This game marked the team's Alumni Day, where former alumni of Ball State Baseball came out to reconnect and reunify with each other.

Former catcher Doug Boone shared his sentiment being back in Muncie.

“Just joy and happiness, love seeing the next generation come in and have a chance to play baseball at this place.” This sentiment was shared throughout the route for most of the day.

“I haven't seen some guys in like 6 years, and honestly, it just makes me want to get together more,” former catcher Chase Sebby said.

This day for most, was about reliving past memories that once were shared on the same field together at Shebek Stadium and that is exactly what happened this past Saturday. Ball State’s next game is against IU at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind. Friday at 6 p.m..
