Severe weather tonight and Tuesday

Tonight- Currently Muncie is under a Flood Watch and a Severe Thunderstorm Watch. You should avoid leaving out cars or anything fragile over night as well, as there is a chance for hail up to 2" in size. Our low will be 53 F for the evening, with winds from ESE at 8 mph. The Thunderstorm Watch is valid until 3 am, however, rain may continue into the morning.

Tomorrow- Rain will dissipate around noon briefly, however, this is not the end of our severe weather threat. Around 4 pm a line of thunderstorms is expected to arrive that brings with it a strong chance of severe thunderstorms. However, the main concern with this line of cells in tornadoes. Stay tuned to your local meteorologists to see how the forecast develops tomorrow, as this line of storms will pass over all of Delaware County. The high will be 70 F, with gusts up to 70 mph possible.

7-Day Forecast- After the severe weather tonight and tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday will still see significant rainfall, with chances of 70% and 60% respectively. We will also begin to cool down on Wednesday, with a high of 41 F. Saturday and Sunday will clearer skies, and we will warm back up to 55 F on Sunday.
