Cardinals defeat Southern Indiana

Ball State Baseball defeated in-state opponent Southern Indiana 12-1 last night. 

This was the final non-conference game of the season for the Cardinals, improving their record to 33-18. 

After three innings, Ball State had a 9-0 lead. 

Senior Matthew Rivera made things 10-0 with his second home run of the night. He ended his night going 3-2 from the plate with two home runs and three runners batted in. 

Rivera was not the only one to go 3-2 from the plate, graduate student Logan Flood and junior Jalen Martinez also went 3-2.

Senior Casey Bargo started on the mound for Ball State and pitched three innings with zero earned runs and two strikeouts. 

Ball State will be at home to face off against the No. 1 team in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Kent State for the MAC regular season title. The first pitch is tomorrow at 3 p.m.
