In the latest episode of Our Call to Beneficence hosted by university President Geoffry S. Mearns, broadway actress and Ball State graduate Kayla Davion joins the program.

"Following her graduation from Ball State with a degree in Musical Theatre from our College of Fine Arts, Davion headed to New York City to appear in her first Broadway show, “Waitress," a Ball State press release read. "She later landed roles in other Broadway musicals, including “King Kong,” and “Tina: The Tina Turner Musical.” Davion also created an Alumni Ambassador program within Ball State’s nationally recognized Department of Theatre and Dance."

The two discussed the positive impact that theater had on Davion's life, the instrumental Ball State professors she had and the steps Davion follows to stay healthy enough for the stage schedule.

Our Call to Beneficence, hosted by Ball State University President Geoffrey S. Mearns launched September 29, 2021. The podcast features conversations with graduates and friends of Ball State who embody the spirit of Beneficence. Ball State University, Photo Courtesy
