The Ball State University spring semester class of 2022 graduates May 7 starting at 10 a.m. While Ball State has projected approximately 3,400 degrees to be conferred, more than 2,500 students are set to be in attendance.
Below are the times and locations of each commencement ceremony, according to the Ball State University website:
10 a.m.—Main Ceremony in the Quad (All graduates are encouraged to attend; this is where President Mearns and our Commencement speakers will speak, the doctoral students will be hooded, senior awards and special recognition will take place, and there will be a performance.)
12:30 p.m.—Miller College of Business and College of Communication, Information, and Media at Worthen Arena
3:30 p.m.—College of Fine Arts and College of Sciences and Humanities at Worthen Arena
6:30 p.m. —R. Wayne Estopinal College of Architecture and Planning; College of Health; and Teachers College at Worthen Arena
Tickets to each ceremony are not required, therefore any guest is welcome to attend. Each location holding a ceremony opens one hour prior to its beginning and it is encouraged that graduates should be seated at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of each ceremony. Once each ceremony begins, it is projected to last from 90 minutes to two hours.
For each ceremony, COVID-19 restrictions will be non-existent as restrictions on Ball State's campus were lifted March 4.

Below are some fun facts about the commencements:
- Smith (36 graduates) is the most common last name of those graduating, followed by Johnson (26), Jones (23), Brown (19) and Miller (16).
The College of Sciences and Humanities (786) has the most graduating students, followed closely by Teachers College (781).

Azzarello was extinguished and rushed away by emergency services.
