MUNCIE, Ind. (NewsLink) — Ball State Women’s Volleyball’s Esther Grussing was named the MAC West Division Setter of the Week. The sophomore led the offense in two five-set wins this past weekend against Toledo and Buffalo.
She put together over an 11 and a half assist per set average.
Grussing also helped the defense, with over two digs per set.
Grussing credited her skills to learning behind regular starter, Amber Seaman, the reigning MAC Setter of the Year. She also hoped to continue to earn playing time down the stretch.
“[I] personally [want to], give it all. If I get to go in, then it’s very exciting. Set my best offense. I'm gonna play hard defense so that we can bring home a win for Ball State Volleyball,” Grussing said.
The Cardinals will hit the road this weekend to face Western Michigan and Northern Illinois.
