Ball State Soccer (11-3-2, MAC 7-2-1) won their final road game of the regular season against Eastern Michigan (8-10, MAC 3-6) on Sunday afternoon.  The Cardinals won 1-0 at Scicluna Field, making it six straight conference wins for the Cardinals.

The goal was a 50th minute shot outside the box by junior midfielder Peighton Cook.  The goal was assisted by freshman defender, Jenna Dombrowski.  This was Cook’s third goal of the season and Dombrowski’s second assist of the season.

The first half only had five combined shots by both teams.  The Cardinals had three, led by Cook with two. The Eagles had three corners in the first half but failed to convert any.

In the second half, the Cardinals started off an early goal in the 50th minute. The Eagles however had control of most of the half. They forced 15 shots on the Cardinal defense, but only three were on target. The Cardinals defense succeeded in shutting out yet another team, this being their third in their last four games.

Senior goalkeeper, Tristian Stuteville for the Cardinals, and junior goalkeeper, Mable Dunn for the Eagles each had three saves.

“We have made a steady progress of each game,” head coach Roberts said. “We are definitely moving in the right direction’
