Ball State Soccer (5-3-2,  1-2-1 MAC) tied with Ohio University (4-5-1, 2-1-0 MAC) on Sunday afternoon at Chessa Field. A goal 84 minute goal by the Bobcats sees the Cardinal’s soccer team drop a victory to settle for the 1-1 draw.

"Obviously we were disappointed to give up a goal there at the end, but anytime you can get points on the road it's a good thing," Head coach Craig Roberts said in a press release. "We identified five areas where we need to improve, and we did well in about three of them. We'll look to keep at it and put together a complete game next week."

Freshman Tatiana Mason scores her fourth goal of the season for the Cardinals and currently leads the team in goals. The goal was assisted by freshman defender Jenna Dombrowski. Mason, along with junior midfielder Julia Elvbo led the team with two shots on target each.

Senior goalkeeper Tristin Stuteville had an impressive outing with six saves from seven shots on target.

The equalizer was scored by Sydney Beckie, and assisted by Madelyn Kah for the Bobcats. The game continued into double overtime and saw Cardinal’s freshman defender Kennedy Metzger received two yellow cards which accumulated to a red in the 99th minute.  The Cardinal’s continued to fight, despite losing Metzler in the first overtime, but had to settle with a disappointing draw, 1-1.

This result finds the Cardinal’s 1-2-1 in the conference, putting them lower than they would like to be in the MAC power rankings. The Cardinal’s are now winless in their last three games, and will be looking for an immediate turnaround as they travel to DeKalb, Illinois to face Northern Illinois on Thursday at 2 p.m.
