Ball State women’s golf will be back in action Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15 in West Lafayette, Indiana, for the Lady Boilermaker Classic. This will be the final opportunity for the Cardinals to fine-tune their game and officially prepare in a tournament setting for the Mid-American Conference Championships.

“We are looking forward to a new test and being closer to home,” said coach Katherine Mowat. “Playing against some teams we don’t typically play will be a new challenge for us.”

Once again, the young talent will need to step up to the plate and produce low scores if Ball State wants to be a leading force for the rest of the spring season. With a 10th place finish last weekend, sophomore Manon Tounalom will look to add on to an already great spring performance.

Ball State also needs to look to the two upperclassmen to tap into their experience and lead the team to a victory. Senior Morgan Nadaline and Junior Sydney Anderson will try to lead the team in the right direction toward a top-placing finish. Anderson is also coming off a hot performance by having the second-best first round of the entire Dolores Black Falcon Invitational.

Although the Lady Boilermaker Invitational isn’t exactly like the MAC Tournament setup, the Cardinals will look to take this weekend to foreshadow their MAC performance.

“It’s a smaller field with just six teams,” said Mowat. “It’s a course that has been renovated recently, so we have never played it.”

The Cardinals will tee off April 14-15 in hopes of getting their scores low and games strong in the Lady Boilermaker Invitational.
