After a 25-7 season that included a number of accolades in itself, Ball State women's basketball got another tidbit of good news on Thursday evening.
Sophomore and junior guards Jasmin Samz and Carmen Grande were selected to the Academic All-MAC Team.
Grande posted a 3.98 GPA in mathamatical science and Samz posed a 3.360 GPA in exercise science. On the floor, Grande averaged 9.2 assists per game, good for second best in the country.
In order to qualify for the team, one must post a 3.2 GPA and play in 50 percent of their team's respective contests. Both Samz and Grande played in all 32 games for Ball State in 2017-18.
