After four seasons with the Cardinals, field hockey head coach Christy Longacre was hired as Georgetown's head coach on Tuesday.

The Hoyas held a similar conference record to the Cardinals this season going 1-6 in the Big East Conference as the Cardinals posted a 1-5 record in the MAC.

Longacre has some familiarity in the Big East as she spent her college career at Old Dominion.
