Ball State sees early struggles at Boston College Intercollegiate

The Ball State women’s golf team struggled through the first 36 holes in the annual Boston College Intercollegiate Tournament, as it finished today shooting a team total of 625.

After the first day of play, Ball State is tied for 13th place with South Dakota in a pool of 16 teams. 

Leading the Cardinals was sophomore Manon Tounalom, who birdied four of her first seven shots to put her at six over par on the day. She now sits tied for 13th as she heads into the championship round on Monday.

She is followed by freshman Liz Kim who is going into the final round on Monday 13 over par.

Rounding out the Cardinals were Sydney Anderson (+15), Emily Knouff (+16) and Morgan Nadaline (+18).

In a close race for first, the field of play was led by Richmond (+16), Georgetown (+20) and host school Boston College (+21). 

The Ball State Women’s golf team tees off again on Monday for the championship round at 8 a.m.
