Laughter yoga at Rinker Center for International Programs

The Rinker Center for International Programs is offering a lesser-known type of exercise called laughter yoga today.

While yoga is typically a quiet, peaceful activity, laughter yoga combines laughing exercises and yoga breathing in attempt to breathe in more oxygen to energize participants and make them feel more healthy.

Foreign Student Advisor and Immigration Specialist Debra Goens said that this activity is new to the Rinker Center and that they are always looking for ways to give students new experiences. Students who attend are asked to bring their own yoga mat and water.

While there 20 spots total, only 10 spots remain for students to participate in laughter yoga. Students must RSVP by emailing rcipevents@bsu.edu by today at noon to attend and will be given the location of the event after they have secured their spot. The event runs from 4-5 p.m. today.
