June workshops held at Cornerstone

Cornerstone Center for the Arts is offering a variety of different events this June.

With each event, the goal is to educate the community and promote the arts. 

Here is a list of a few things coming up:

Coffee & Paints

The next Coffee & Paints will be June 24 at 10 a.m. Admissions is $25 and is open to those in fourth grade and older. Coffee & Paints is an opportunity to paint in a relaxed environment.

Pints & Paints

Today and June 29 Pints & Paints will be hosted at the Fickle Peach at 6:30 p.m. These workshops are for ages 21 and older and costs $25, which includes supplies and one drink.

Rock and Roll Summer Camp

Rock and Roll Summer Camp is from Friday to June 16 and is offered to kids age 11 to 17 and costs $200.

Kids & Paints

This event will teach kids how to paint with a step-by-step guide and will take place on Friday. The cost is $25 per person and includes supplies. There are two sessions, one for ages two to six and one for ages seven and older.

Monthly Dance Club

This social dance event will begin with an hour of instruction in swing, ballroom, salsa or tango dancing lead by David Fenning and then there will be open dancing. The event will take place on June 17 at 7 p.m. and costs $12 per person and $7 for students.

Summer Arts Camp

From June 19 through 23 Summer Arts Camp will be held, offering classes on visual arts, theatre, martial arts, science and technology. The camp costs $150, but is $90 per child if multiple children are being registered. 

Bad Art Night

Bad Art Night will be held at 6 p.m. on June 29 at Maring-Hunt Library. The event is free, however a $5 donation is suggested to help pay for the supplies and prizes that will be awarded.
