The Mid-American Conference's second-highest paid football coach from 2014 is getting a raise.

Ball State head coach Pete Lembo saw his salary increase $14,250. According to the USA Today NCAA salary report from 2014, Lembo earned $500,000 from the school in 2014.

"It's just a normal, standard university cost of living kind of raise," Ball State athletic director Mark Sandy said. "It's just like other people in the department getting the standard university raise."

Lembo is also Ball State's associate athletic director.

Despite the contract raise, his rank among MAC coach salaries could change in the upcoming year due to other coaches receiving extensions.

In four years at Ball State, Lembo has a 30-20 record overall and a 21-11 MAC record. The team finished 5-7 last season after two straight bowl appearances in 2012 and 2013.
