Ball State defeats Cincinnati 4-3, wins 4th straight

Ball State Upcoming Schedule

The Ball State women's tennis team went on the road to defeat Cincinnati 4-3 for its fourth straight win.

Senior Ashlyn Rang clinched the win for the Cardinals at No. 3 singles with a come-from-behind win over Ali Miller, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4.

Ball State and Cincinnati split six singles matches overall. Senior Courtney Wild picked up a win at No. 2, while sophomore Toni Ormond defeated Hannah Wille at the No. 5 position.

The Cardinals also captured the doubles point with wins in two of three matches.

Wild and junior Bethany Moore defeated Katya Bure and Miller 6-4, while Ormond and freshman Olivia Large earned a 6-3 victory. 

With the win, Ball State improves to 6-3 on the season. The team will travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. for a match against North Carolina Central at 11 a.m. on Mar. 3.
