At the end of the game, Ball State defeats Central Michigan 32-29.
Rawls took off to the Ball State 11 and then fumbled, recovered by Wiggins on the Ball State 12.
Milas found Williams for a first down on third and three, but was sacked on the next third down. Ball State punted and Central Michigan took over on its own 37.
Rawls picked up a first down, and Rush hit Davis down to the Ball State 21-yard line. Facing fourth and one, the Ball State defense stuffed Rawls and Central Michigan turned the ball over on downs.
Ball State took over at its 12-yard line, but had to punt after two runs by Edwards and an incomplete pass from Milas. After a 48-yard punt, Central Michigan took over at its 47.
Rawls began the drive with runs of six, 37 and two yards before Rush found Davis for an eight-yard touchdown. Rush found Jesse Kroll for the two-point conversion, tying the score at 29.
Mabon returned the kickoff to Ball State's 34-yard line. Milas found Schillings for nine yards, and Edwards picked up the first at the 44. On a third and one, Milas found Mabon for nine yards to Central Michigan's 38. On fourth down, Secor hit a 54-yard field goal to give Ball State a 32-39 lead.
Secor's kickoff was returned to the 35-yard line. Rush hit Deon Butler for 17 yards to the Ball State 48, but on the next play Patterson intercepted the pass as the clock expired.
At the end of the third quarter, Ball State leads Central Michigan 29-21.
Central Michigan started the second half on its 39-yard line. Rush found Rice for a first down to the Ball State 37, and then hit Davis for a touchdown. After the extra point, Ball State led 26-21.
Eric Patterson returned the kickoff to the Ball State 28. Edwards ran 10 yards for a first down, but the drive fell apart. After the punt, Central Michigan took over on its own 43. Central Michigan quickly went three and out, and Ball State took over on its own 10-yard line after the punt.
An Edwards rush combined with a Mabon reception picked up a first down. Ball State eventually had to punt, and Central Michigan took over on its 21.
Rush fired a couple of passes for first downs, then was picked off by Patterson, who returned it to the Central Michigan 30.
Facing fourth and five, Milas hit Mabon for a first down to the 17-yard line. Edwards rushed for a 10-yard gain, giving him the record for most rushing yards in a career in Ball State history. After the drive stalled, Secor kicked a field goal and extended Ball State’s lead to 29-21.
Central Michigan took the kickoff to its own 38-yard line. Rawls picked up a first down and Ball State committed defensive pass interference, giving Central Michigan 15 yards as the clock expired.
At halftime, Ball State leads Central Michigan 26-14.
Secor hit a field goal, and Ball State led 16-7.
The Chippewas started their next drive off on their 25-yard line. Rawls picked up two first downs, and then fumbled. It was recovered by Sean Wiggins on the Ball State 41. On the next play, Milas was hit and fumbled, recovered by Central Michigan on the Ball State 35.
Rush found Davis for a first down to the Ball State 25. Rawls took the ball to the 11-yard line, and Rush tossed the ball to Joe Bacci for the touchdown. After the extra point, Ball State led 16-14.
Ball State started off on its own 47-yard line. Milas hit Mabon for a first down, then Williams for another. Edwards ran for a first down, and the drive stalled. Another Secor field goal increased the Ball State lead to 19-14.
Central Michigan started its drive off on its own 20-yard line. Michael Ayers recovered a fumble and returned it to the Central Michigan one. Edwards pounded it in, and after the extra point, Ball State led 26-14.
The Chippewas started the next drive off on their own 25. A pass from Rush picked up a first down, but the drive stalled and after a punt, Ball State took over on its own 18-yard line. Ball State ran out the clock.
At the end of the first quarter, Ball State leads Central Michigan 13-7.
Ball State started the game off on its 35-yard line. Running back Jahwan Edwards rushed for two yards, and quarterback Jack Milas found Corey Lacanaria for the first down. Edwards ran to the Central Michigan 31. A personal foul penalty on Central Michigan moved the ball to the 17. An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty kept the drive alive and moved the ball to the eight, and Edwards took the ball in for the touchdown. Scott Secor’s kick was blocked, and Ball State led 6-0.
Central Michigan started its first drive off on its 33-yard line. Quarterback Cooper Rush completed a pass to the Central Michigan 45 before hitting Titus Davis to the Ball State 36. Another pass moved Central Michigan to the five-yard line, and running back Thomas Rawls pounded the ball in for the touchdown. After the extra point, the score was 7-6 Central Michigan.
The Cardinals started the next drive off on the Ball State 25. A pass interference penalty took the ball to the Ball State 40. On third and long, Milas hit Chris Shillings for a first down, then Jordan Hogue for another. Milas picked up a bad snap and scrambled to his right, finding KeVonn Mabon, who ran to the end zone for the touchdown. After the extra point, Ball State led 13-7.
Central Michigan took the kickoff out to the Central Michigan 45-yard line. A pass from Rush to Anthony Rice picked up a first down, but the drive stalled and after a punt, Ball State took over on its 25-yard line.
Ball State achieved a first down off a defensive holding penalty, then another when Milas hit Williams to the Ball State 44. Mabon made a leaping catch on the right sideline to the Central Michigan 30-yard line and hit Lacanaria to bring up a fourth and two. The clock expired.
