Two sophomores on the Ball State women's basketball team have been selected to play for Global Sports Academy on a European tour.

Renee Bennett and Haley Richardson will participate in five games over nine days against teams from Belgium, Holland and France.

Global Sports Academy has arranged tours for teams since 1991 to help promote international competition. Athletes learn more about their sports and receive exposure to different cultures and environments.

In addition to basketball, Bennett and Richardson will have the opportunity to take part in sightseeing events and shopping trips.

The two Cardinals' players will be joined by Mid-American Conference player Erica Donovan of Bowling Green University.

The tour runs from  Sunday  until  Aug. 18 .
