MEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Ball State earns sweep of Belmont Abbey

Ball State defeated Belmont Abbey in three sets Friday night, winning 25-9, 25-14 and 25-21.

Freshman outside attacker Brendan Surane finished the match with a team-high 12 kills, which was also a career-high. The Cardinals had 44 kills.

Middle attacker Kevin Owens led his team with five block assists, while the team finished with 10 total blocks.

Both libero David Ryan Vander Meer and Surane had a team-high seven digs.

The win improves Ball State to 11-5. The team’s next match is against King on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
