Ball State’s football team could be without one assistant coach for its bowl game. It was reported this afternoon that offensive coordinator Rich Skrosky will become the head coach at Elon University.

At a press conference Thursday afternoon, Elon will announce Skrosky as the new head coach. Skrosky has spent the last three seasons at Ball State under head coach Pete Lembo.

If Skrosky leaves, Ball State would be without its primary offensive play caller for the GoDaddy Bowl against Arkansas State on Jan. 5.

Arkansas State also will be short a coach as reports earlier today said head coach Bryan Harsin was named head coach at Boise State.
