FOOTBALL: Ball State announces Lynch as offensive coordinator

Ball State announced its new offensive coordinator today, Joey Lynch.

In light of Rich Skrosky accepting a head coach position at Elon University, Ball State named Lynch its offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Lynch spent the last three seasons coaching tight ends and serving as recruiting coordinator.

He coached wide receivers in 2009 and 2010.

In addition, offensive line coach Nick Tabacca will take over as run game coordinator for Ball State’s offense. Tabacca was the team’s offensive line coach for the last two seasons.

Both Lynch and Tabacca played for Ball State.

Chad Wilt has been a defensive line coach for the last three seasons and will now work as a recruiting coordinator.

Ball State will hire a tight ends coach in the near future, according to press release.
