Ball State at Kent State, Saturday
Ball State's impressive win over South Florida has the team's confidence sky-high right now. Kent State is a tough Mid-American Conference team that will prevent Ball State from overlooking them. But Ball State has had two very emotional games the last two weeks and how long can that continue if the score stays close?
Score: 33-28 Ball State
Buffalo at Connecticut, Saturday
Connecticut has already been victimized by a Mid-American Conference team in 2012 and will look to avoid that again this week. It will avoid that with a weaker opponent in Buffalo but don't be surprised if it's a close game. Somehow Buffalo put up 23 points on Georgia. At Connecticut, the Huskies will manage to pull it out.
Score: 28-14 Connecticut
Miami (Ohio) at Akron, Saturday
Akron made it a game last weekend against Tennessee, something it hasn't done to a BCS team in a long time. It still lost, but maybe it's a sign of improvement. Either way, the MAC schedule will answer those questions quickly. Akron should compete against Miami (Ohio) but will ultimately fall short.
Score: 31-17 Miami (Ohio)
Ohio at Massachusetts, Saturday
The Zebra loves Ohio and it will show its appreciation by beating Massachusetts handily Saturday. UMass has the worst team in the MAC but competed well against Miami (Ohio) last weekend. Ohio received votes in the AP top 25 poll this week and expect the team to sneak into the top 25 soon.
