WOMEN'S SWIMMING: Ball State hires new coach

Kristy Castillo replaces Laura Seibold-Caudill who retired after 33 years at the helm

Less than two weeks after Ball State named the new successor for the women's basketball program, the university has announced the program's next women's swimming coach.

New athletic director Bill Scholl named Kristy Castillo to the position according to a Ball State athletics news release.

Castillo was the assistant women's swimming coach at Akron since 2003, where she broke Akron school records as a student athlete prior to 2003.

Castillo must replace a coach Laura Seibold-Caudill who retired after a 33-year run as Ball State's women's swimming coach.

The Ball State women's swimming season starts Friday, Oct. 7 at the Alumni Meet.
