WOMEN'S GOLF: Hague wins event as Ball State places 4th

Freshman shoots her way to her first tournament title

Freshman Jenna Hague asserted herself as Ball State's best player in the fall, but has fallen off that goal in the spring.

That trend ended this weekend in dominating fashion.

Hague won the Eastern Kentucky Colonel Classic on Saturday, shooting a seven-over par 223. It marks her first career tournament title and her fourth top-10 finish of the season.

Ball State came in 4th with an overall score of 926, coming behind tournament champion Akron, which shot a collective 914.

The Cardinals will go right back to the courses next weekend, playing in the Indiana University Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
