SOCCER: Ball State hires Marcie Klebanow as assistant coach

Klebanow becomes Craig Roberts' third assistant coach in three years

Ball State soccer coach Craig Roberts announced the hiring of Marci Klebanow as new assistant coach Friday.

Klebanow served as an assistant coach at USC Upstate last season before being named interim head coach in February.

"I am delighted to have Marcie join the Ball State staff," Roberts said in a release. "She will bring a lot of energy and dedication to our program. Marcie has a wealth of knowledge and experience and is also very familiar with our region, which will be instrumental in our recruiting."

Prior to USC Upstate, Klebanow worked as an assistant coach/goalkeeper coach at Wagner college, a volunteer assistant coach at Indiana University and an assistant coach at Bloomington South High School.

Klebanow is the third different assistant coach in Roberts' third season at Ball State. Last season's assistant coach, Ileana Moschos, left for a position at the University of Pittsburgh.

"I am honored and excited to have the opportunity to work with a prestigious soccer program at Ball State," Klebanow said in the press release. "I believe Coach Roberts has a great vision for the program. I am looking forward to helping the team reach their goals and continue to grow as a dominant force in the Mid-American Conference."
