FOOTBALL: Ball State holds annual Pro Day

Baker, Orsbon highlight drills for NFL scouts

Eight Ball State football players participated in the annual Pro Day on Tuesday in front of National Football League scouts.

Six scouts from the NFL were in attendance to watch the players get measured, lift weights and get timed through various drills.

Sean Baker, Torieal Gibson, Joshua Howard, Kreg Hunter, Briggs Orsbon, Steve Spence, Lorren Womack and Charlie Todd all participated in Pro Day. All of the players besides Todd finished their careers at Ball State in 2011. Todd completed his in 2010.

Baker recorded a time of 4.65 in the 40-yard dash and had 24 repetitions on the bench press of 225 pounds. He also managed a vertical jump of 33.5 inches and a broad jump of 9 feet 6 inches.

Orsbon also ran the 40-yard dash in 4.65 along with a vertical jump of 35.5 inches. He had a Ball State best broad jump of 9 feet 11 inches.

Todd had 24 repetitions of 225 pounds on the bench press. Womack had a broad jump of 9 feet 10 inches.

The first round of the NFL Draft is April 26.
