The Ball State women's golf team is tied for second after 18 holes at the Butler Invitational in Indianapolis.
Out of nine teams the Cardinals are behind by five shots leading into the second and final round today. Indiana State is tied with the Cardinals with a score of 300.
Host Butler leads the tournament after shooting an opening round of 295.
Joining the Cardinals in the 36-hole event are Chicago State, Eastern Illinois, Evansville, Illinois-Chicago, Indiana State, Valparaiso, Western Illinois, Western Kentucky and Wisconsin-Green Bay.
Meghan Perry is tied for first after an even first round of 72. Autumn Duke is tied for 10th with a 75, Katie Windlan is tied for 14th with a first round 76 and Jenna Hague is tied for 19th with a 77. Sarah Westaway is tied for 36th after managing a first round 81.
Three Cardinals are playing in the event as individuals only. Chantelle Hefer is tied for 14th with a 76. Other individuals in the tournament are Ashtyn Brown, who is tied for 41st with an 83, and Jamie Caylor, who is tied for 47th with an 84.
Tuesday the Cardinals will finish the tournament at Highland Country Club.
