According to the Mid-American Conference league office, junior right-handed pitcher Kim Mazzapica has been named the MAC West Division Pitcher of the Week.
It is the first time Mazzapica has won the honor in her career.
Mazzapica posted an impressive 1.50 ERA in her 14 innings of work during Ball State's weekend match-ups with Toledo and Bowling Green.
For the season, Mazzapica is 7-1 with a 2.33 ERA in 78 innings pitched.
Ball State returns home Friday to face MAC West leader Western Michigan in a doubleheader. First pitch is at 1 p.m.

The Cardinals will face the No. 1 Miami Redhawks. If Ball State was to win, a second game will need to be played due to the Redhawks undefeated tournament record.
