Sophomore Nicole Allen excelled on the mat and in the classroom this season.
Allen, who was named to the Mid-American Conference's First Team after winning two titles at the conference championships, was named to the Academic All-MAC Team on Tuesday.
Junior Kayla Kmiecik and sophomore Morgan Coslow were listed as honorable mentions.
It is the 10th-straight year that a Cardinal was named to the list. Former recipients of the honor include Ashley Jacob, Brittney Bauer, Erica Gilkerson and Kelly Watson.
To be eligible for recognition, gymnasts must be in their second season of MAC gymnastics, compete in 50 percent of their team's meets and have at least a 3.2 GPA.
Six teams were represented on the academic team, led by Western Michigan with four selections. Only Northern Illinois did not have a representative on the team.

The Cardinals will face the No. 1 Miami Redhawks. If Ball State was to win, a second game will need to be played due to the Redhawks undefeated tournament record.
