After winning as an individual in the Adidas Hoosier Invitational, freshman Tyler Merkel was awarded by being named the Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week.
Merkel shot a seven-under par 209 to claim the tournament title.
Its the second consecutive week a Ball State golfer has claimed the award.
Alex Stinson won after placing third individually in the Mizzou Collegiate Invitational April 4-5.
