In addition to winning the Radford Tournament Sunday in Troutville, Va., Ball State had three players named to the all-tournament team for their individual performances in the three-day event.
Junior catcher Amanda Montalto received Most Valuable Player honors, going 6-12 with two home runs, seven RBIs, four runs, one triple, and an astonishing 1.250 slugging percentage.
Senior shortstop Alicia Barkley and sophomore right-handed pitcher Audra Sanders joined tournament MVP Montalto on the all-tournament team.
Barkley went 8-16 in the tournament with three stolen bases, three runs, two walks and two RBIs while Sanders had a 1.47 earned run average in her three wins for the Cardinals.
The Cardinals travel back home Thursday to play the Flyers of Dayton in a double-header. First pitch is at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively.
