MEN'S VOLLEYBALL: BSU falls out of top-15 poll

Cardinals unranked for first time this season

Ball State hovered around the early teens of the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll since the beginning of the season.

Now they've been knocked out of the poll.

Ball State fell from its No. 13 ranking in the poll after going 1-1 in its weekend series against Lewis and IPFW.

The team lost a close match to Lewis on Friday, but managed to follow it up on Saturday by sweeping IPFW.

The Cardinals received 14 votes, the most of any team outside of the rankings.

Ball State's opportunity to get back into the rankings will come this weekend when it takes on Ohio State on Friday and Loyola on Saturday.
