ESPN.com college football reporter Joe Schad tweeted "Ball State coach Stan Parrish won't return next season."
Ball State football coach Stan Parrish told the Ball State Daily News on Monday night any reports of his dismissal are just rumors.
Fox Sports columnist Jason Whitlock was among several who tweeted the second-year football coach had been fired Monday afternoon.
Parrish has a 6-19 record as coach of the Cardinals.
